Super8 & Tab aka Miika Eloranta & Janne Mansnerus are the antidote to anyone who says the trance scene has gone stale. Combining and eclectic sound of progressive, electro elements with evocative, melodic trance; the pair have created a unique and edgy sound which is devouring the hearts and ears of A-List DJs worldwide. This year has been far from exceptional for Super8 & Tab with their hit release ‘Needs To Feel’ [featuring Ben Lost] quickly becoming the biggest releases for 2007. The track lived on the Radio 1 shows of Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell and Dave Pearce, and heavily on rotation by Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren and recently their biggest supporter Dutch superstar Tiesto. Their follow up release ‘Suru’ took the trance world by storm with the deep and driving sound of Martin Roths remixes spreading the release through genres, and placing it on the map for big name DJs. ‘Suru’ is still on the Ministry of Sound playlists after close to a month of already starring on it, and was best described by DJMag as ‘The tent-pole release of Anjunabeats’ summer’. With Mark Pledger vs Super8 & Tab ‘Worldwide’ on its way into the world, the momentum Super8 & Tab are building is becoming indestructible. Their own releases aren’t just the only thing making waves, the recent release of Above & Beyond pres. Tranquillity Base ‘Oceanic’ [Super8 & Tab Remix] became more requested than the original release. 'Helsinki Scorchin' was undoubtedly the biggest instrumental trancer of 2006 – DJMag featured it as one of their top 20 tracks of 2006 and it featured on over 15 compilations since release including those from Tiesto, Above & Beyond and Armin Van Buuren. September 2006 marked the release of their first album ‘Anjunabeats Worldwide Volume 1’ Mixed by Super8 & Tab and Mark Pledger which was nominated for ‘Compilation of the Year’ in the International Dance Music Awards [IMDA’s] at the Miami Winter Music Conference 2007. 'Wont Sleep Tonight'[2006] was just as good with Global Undergrounds Ben Lost drafted in to provide a druggy and Underworld-esque vocal as a backdrop to the dirty, driving groove. Before these two monsters and debut collaboration 'First Aid', Super8 & Tab had been building the kind of production CV that will soon see them being mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and Paul Van Dyk as they start their journey towards the pinnacle of the trance scene. Their DJ careers in turn are becoming, touring every corner of the world from the UK, to Taiwan and to their residency in homeland, Finland. They have graced the decks of Turnmills, Canvas Passion, Godskitchen and Gatecrasher and recently become one of the headling acts on Anjunabeats Worldwide tours. They have a monthly radio show, Anjunabeats Worldwide – which is syndicated internationally in countries ranging from the USA to Romania, and is available online through DI.FM. Building on the worldwide following for their productions, Super8 & Tab are now ready to unleash their pioneering sound on dancefloors around the globe. |
